XPRO`s Consulting staff has taken active part in the implementation and commissioning of the Human Resource Management System of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.

eLearning Programme:
Lead the implementation of FAO`s Oracle Learning Management system, which allows the organization to link competences to their learning activities. This is a very important step in attributing competences to the organization`s staff profiles. 
The activities included redesigning and simplifying business processes such as planning, registration and approval of learning activities. Has created new processes in identifying new learning needs of the organization. This project has been run in a collaborative mode with all the stakeholders of the Learning processes applying the Conference Room Pilot approach.

Integrated Competency Framework
Played a pivotal role in defining the FAO`s Integrated Competency Framework, which facilitated to implement the following important Human Resource Management aspects of the organization:

• the managerial competency which was introduced in vacancy announcements for managerial-level staff as well as in management development programmes
• the FAO Regional Offices (FAORs) competency profile completed in October, 2005 is a key component for the
  performance management system now in place for FAORs
• profile has been completed for professionals and will inform the development of staff development opportunities; and
• the core competency and values project (for all staff) is expected to be completed by
  November 2006.

Performance Management System
Based on the Performance Management module of the Oracle HRMS created a prototype to test how such a large and international organization can measure its performance based on its aims and goals. This prototype started the current Performance Management model and system utilised by the FAO UN Organization.
